We Macs are constantly tilling :: planting the seeds we've been given in hopes of new life springing up behind us as surely goodness and mercy
will follow us all the days of our lives. We will boast only in Jesus, the founder and perfecter of everything.

Checking out our future pediatricians office...this is getting very real!

Most of you know, one of Austin's loves is climbing. He cleans a bouldering gym every wednesday morning to climb there for free. It's a sweet gig.  Click here for a photo from his early morning trip.

This week was full of sweet memories. Our first thanksgiving in Denver, Austin cooking a turkey, and a surprise delivery of a flower arrangement from Carolina's mom. Most of you know, but we lost our dear friend Lina to cancer just 2 weeks ago. We sure miss her.  Tonight we had a meeting with Destino leaders: we took time to thank God and plan for a fundraiser to send students to the Destino Winter Conference!
Austin cutting the turkey beside our friend Josh's mom. She was a hoot. And the turkey was great! Thanks A.
Sweet memories of Carolina, our dear friend and student who passed away 2 weeks ago. Her mom, Ana, brought this over to our house on Thanksgiving day. We are so deeply thankful.

Our table setting for thanksgiving. The great arrangement Kim gave to us!
Notes from our Destino leader's planning meeting on Sunday evening. We are working towards a fundraiser in January to help students go to the Destino Winter Conference in San Antonio, TX.

Austin building his new bike. Austin will surely need a getaway vehicle in a few weeks to head to the climbing gym. (Thanks, Kim!)

day before thanksgiving

Good morning. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, and we are preparing so furiously for the coming of holidays and baby that I have had little time to stop and be thankful. I came across this really interesting podcast from the gospel coalition on the history of the first Thanksgiving. If you have time, please listen.

"we tend to remember the past in a way that simply reinforces what we believe..."

"...the Pilgrims have hard questions for us to ask..."

"For as we begin to experience and honor diverse cultures and contexts, we are reminded that the kingdom of Jesus Christ cannot be simplified to look like any single human kingdom or culture that we know, but is rich with the beauty of many nations and tribes of the world." - adrian pei
